What is Siimee?

Siimee is a social impact company committed to reforming the recruiting and hiring process, as well as corporate workplace, by reducing the natural human biases that are often seen in the early stage of hiring practices. We believe that by reducing bias from the very beginning of an employee-employer relationship, we can help improve diversity, equity, and inclusion and positively affect lives as well as companies’ bottom lines.

Founded in December 2020 by Rhett Lindsey, our company is working to address these issues by developing a new recruiting software that will mitigate the risks of bias during the initial stages of recruiting and hiring. We are also raising awareness through our series of expert conversations on Siimee’s social channels and in the media. 

Why was the company created?

Our company was created to find solutions to the problem of systemic bias in the hiring process and in the workplace itself. In addition to fostering conversations that address racial and gender biases in Corporate America, we are developing a software for recruiters and hiring managers to directly connect with talent without using an applicant tracking system (ATS) software that is currently used by more than 90% of large U.S. corporations that contributes to bias candidate results. Our goal is to give jobseekers truly equal opportunities and help companies avoid the bias that often occurs during the early stages of the hiring process.

How does the Siimee platform work?

We are in the process of developing a tool for recruiters and hiring managers to connect with talent, while mitigating the risks of bias that often occurs during the early stages of the hiring process. More details on our platform and how it functions will be released by Q1 2022. 

Who are Siimee’s consumers?

Siimee will work with companies that are pursuing fair, unbiased hiring systems for use by their recruiters and hiring managers. We will also be working with jobseekers who would like to avoid using ATS and be equally considered for all positions to which they may apply. 

What are Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)? 

Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) are software that is commonly used by recruiters and hiring managers when searching and organizing talent applications and profiles. ATS stores resumes in a database, which allows for numerous qualified applicants to go unmatched and unnoticed.  As part of our mission to give every jobseeker an equal opportunity, Siimee will not employ ATS in the recruiting software and platform it is currently developing. 

What makes Siimee different from other recruiting platforms?

Nearly all hiring platforms do not address the issue of bias recruiting and talent sourcing, while Siimee does. Furthermore, we are eliminating the need for applications, and simplifying the process of how employers connect with job seekers. 
Siimee is switching the current, favored process for recruiting candidates. Rather than allowing a candidate’s full profile (resume, social media accounts such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) to be viewed first, recruiters and hiring managers will be required to make an initial connection based on their specific interests and aspirations. In turn, companies will be influenced to be held accountable for unintentional biases they may encounter during the early hiring process. 

When will Siimee be available for use?

Our platform is currently in development with plans to launch Q1 2022. 

How can Siimee guarantee there will be no bias in my hiring experience? 

Siimee cannot guarantee a 100% unbiased hiring experience. However, as part of our mission to find solutions to the issues of workplace and hiring biases, we know that our new platform will be the first step in addressing and resolving this common problem. 

What is Siimee’s pricing model? 

Siimee will be free for jobseekers. Companies that are interested in using our platform will have a choice of three different subscription packages. More information on these offerings will be released in Q1 2022.

What is the early access request form?

Our early access request form is for interested jobseekers who would like to stay up to date on Siimee’s development, engage in conversations about fair hiring and be among the first to use the platform once it’s launched.
